Modern libraries play a vital role in the present day of digital society, where the accessibility or inaccessibility of information in digital form affects the economic, social, cultural and political life of the people. The advances in digital technology, rapid access to internet and rising demand of web based services have changed the way libraries work in this modern world. As a result, the profession of librarianship has witnessed a significant transformation, the role of the librarians has been re-defined and above all the landscape of the libraries has been expanded in this digital age.
The objective of the Seminar on the theme “Changing landscape of libraries in Digital Age” is to brainstorm, discuss intensively about the transformation experienced in the scenario of libraries throughout the country and brought in better insight for further progress.
Papers on the above theme are invited in prescribed format for presentation in the Seminar. The authors are requested to submit abstracts of the papers in about 200 to 250 words along with the PowerPoint presentation to hodlibsc@suniv.ac.in on or before 31st January 2020.
The full length paper may be submitted by 31st March 2020 for publication in the Conference Proceedings.
The Seminar is intended mainly for professionals, faculty members, researchers and students of Library and Information science.
The paper presentation competition aims to tapping the talents of young LIS students, researchers and professionals in terms of their subject knowledge, presentation skill, creativity and analytical skill. The topics of the posters may be related to any facet of the seminar theme. The participants will have to make an oral presentation with power point not exceeding 15 slides. Each of the participants will be allowed a time of 7 minute to make his presentation before the panel of judges.
The PPTs of the presentations are required to be sent to the Director of the Conference by email to bulumaharana@gmail.com or hodlibsc@suniv.ac.in latest by 31st January 2020.
The poster presentation competition will be held during the seminar to stimulate the talents of young LIS students and researchers. The topics of the posters may be related to any facet of the seminar theme. The participants will be allowed to present the poster before the panel of judges during the poster session.
The posters are required to be sent to the Director of the Conference by email to bulumaharana@gmail.com or hodlibsc@suniv.ac.in latest by 31st January 2020.
